Mark's gospel is thought to be the source of much material covered in Matthew and Luke's gospels. Each chapter of Knight's commentary begins with a fresh translation from the original Greek language, followed by insights from Knight's years of scholarship as a seminary professor at Andrews University. However, Knight does not unnecessarily resort to technical language or theological gymnastics to impress his readers. Knight's commentary is very accessible and provides a refreshing look at Mark's portrayal of Jesus as the Man of action.
